HDA is serving as architect of record for the revitalization of the former 7 Up Company Headquarters in Clayton, transforming the iconic 11-story Mid-Century Modern building into a new residential destination. Originally completed in 1964 during the brand’s celebrated “UnCola” era, the long-vacant landmark is being thoughtfully reimagined while preserving its historic identity and connection to the community.

The $54 million historic rehabilitation includes restoration of the original curtain wall systems, brick and precast concrete repairs, revitalization of the elevated plaza, and the creation of 118 modern residential units and amenity spaces. By balancing preservation with adaptive reuse, the project restores new purpose to one of Clayton’s most recognizable architectural landmarks.
